OATS AND WHOLE WHEAT SANDWICH BREAD#BREADBAKERS





Oats and wholewheat sandwich bread

I bought only breads from outside. When I started baking the amazing moment I got when I baked bread for the first time its speechless......Onwards I never bought bread in stores regularly I bake them once in a week. This sandwich bread is with oats and whole wheat flour which is totally healthy and soft.........This post is for bread bakers hosted by Rocio who has given an amazing event with Oats this month..........................


makes-2 loaves

 prep time-11/2 hrs  

baking time-35 mins

Ingredients:


Whole wheat flour- 51/2 cup 

Yeast-2 tsp  

Warm water- 1 cup 

 unsalted butter- 2 tbsp

  milk- 1 cup

  Sugar- 1/4 cup 

 salt - 1 tbsp  

 Oats- 1/2 cup 

Method:

In a bowl add warm water sprinkle some sugar and a pinch of  salt from the measured and sprinkle yeast over them. Leave aside for 10 mins till it proves. Add melted butter,1 cup flour, milk and oats to the yeast mixture mix well and set aside for 5 mins. 

Insert hook attachment with a beater add the yeast mixture mix well add remaining flour slowly and knead the dough till smooth and pliable atleast for 10 mins. Place them in a warm place covered for an hour to rise. When the dough rises roll them gently and put them in a greased sandwich tin. Keep aside for 20 mins till it rises again . Coat them with milk and sprinkle some oats over them.

Preheat oven to 200 degrees. 

Reduce the heat to 180 degree and bake the bread for 30-35 mins. immedietly brush butter over the bread to gain its colour.Cool completely and slice them to serve.................

MEAT LOAF/MUTTON CAKE







Meat loaf/Mutton cake

This meat loaf  was in my wishlist for over years.But had some fear to try it whether I can make it or not.I tried it today and got awesome meat loaf.It is nothing but a baked/steamed version of meat with less ingredients.It has a yummy taste and healthy...........Just try this without any fear and give your feedbacks to me in comments............


Prep.time: 10 mins  Baking time-45 mins/Steaming time-15 mins  serves-10-15 loaves 

Ingredients:

Ground meat-1 cup

   carrot-1/4 cup,peeled and finely chopped  

button mushrooms-2 tbsp,finely chopped  

Onion-1,finely chopped  

Garlic-1 tsp,peeled and finely chopped  

salt to taste

 pepper powder-1/2 tsp  

oil-1 tsp

Egg-1 

Tomato ketchup-2 tbsp

  Oats-1 tbsp

Method:


  • Heat oil in a pan add garlic fry a while add onion,carrot,mushrooms saute till done with some salt and pepper powder.When it is done transfer them into a plate and cool them.

  • In a bowl add ground meat any kind of meat you can use whether mutton,beef or chicken,cooled vegetables mix well,now you can add salt for meat.When mixed break eggs, into it and oats then combine them.

  • Heat water in a boiler/pan place a seive over it or Preheat oven to 180°c

  • Fill the mixture in aluminium foil cups and spread tomato ketchup over it.Place over seive for steaming and steam them for 15-20 mins or till done.

  • For Baking place the cups over baking tray and bake them @ 180°c for 40 mins.


  • When cooked Remove them from foil cups and cut into slices.Serve hot with sauce over them.........!!!!!!!!!!!!

OATS AND HONEY PANCAKE


































Oats and honey pancake

Pancakes are nothing but cakes we do in a pan .Its more like oothappam in South India. This pancake is a mixture of oats and honey and less sugar..You can use full amount of honey and avoid sugar, can use jaggery also….Instead of flour, you can use whole wheat flour….So It’ll be more and more healthy………..I made this pancake for shh cooking secretly challenge made by mayuri patel,my partner this time who gave me oats and honey.............

Ingredients:


Oats-2 tbsp
Maida-1 cup  
Butter-1 tbsp
  powdered sugar-2 tbsp  
 honey-1tbsp
  Baking powder-1/2 tsp  
 egg-1
  Badam,chopped-1/2 cup

Method:

 

                                      In a bowl add softened butter and powdered sugar beat well till foamy. Break in egg and beat till combined well. Add in honey, oats and baking powder beat well.Fold in maida mix well and rest them for about 10 mins.Meanwhile heat the pan with some butter and pour the batter and spread slightly.Sprinkle chopped badam on top,Do on both sides and serve with maple syrup or honey...........................

Hi friends!

It's time to have a nice and yummy smoothie.Smoothies are nothing but a thick drink and a good supplement for breakfast to maintain diet.My smoothie recipe is a healthy one containing natural ingredients tats good for kids from old people.Even diabetics can have this smoothie becoz it contains only honey as a sweetening agent...............I'm posting this recipe for shhh secret challenge by priya.I'm doing this with my friend srividhya and we are pairing for the second time.She gave me strawberry and oats.


Ingredients:

Strawberry-1/2 cup

Oats-2 tbsp

Chilled Milk-11/2 cup

Honey- 2 tbsp

Banana-1 big

Walnuts- 1 tbsp

 Strawberry crush to decorate

Method:

The recipe is so simple.Just blend all the above except strawberry crush.Decorate the tall glass with crush by spooning them on sides and pour the blended smoothie into the glass and enjoyyy the yummy smoothie.......
